This includes general running costs and upkeep like petrol/ diesel for day sails, teak oils and cleaning products, as well as towards new rope, blocks and shackles. The ongoing battle with engine maintenance and parts involves a rotating wallet. Long-term upgrades include installing already bought electronic equipment, running new cables to facilitate it all, getting roller furlers on the forestay, and eventually a swanky toilet and a very loud and necessary music system.
