500 nm to Long Beach

The big trip. Oakland to Long Beach over two hard weeks - a broken outboard bracket off the coast, sheltering out weather near San Simeon, rounding Point Conception becalmed, and running out of petrol to drift a night for wind. The whole library of mistakes and corrections, now written into Voyages.

End of season

The voyage continues. New entries land in Voyages.

/04 - Voyages

Dated entries for every meaningful mile. Conditions, choices, mistakes, corrections. The boat's own version of the truth.

/05 - The Library

A shelf for the weather.

Books, films, and documentaries that taught this boat to sail. Personal notes, plain English, no five-star theater. Every link buys the work and pays a small commission to the library.
