Birthday sail for Hannah to Catalina

Hannah's birthday, spent the only proper way: pointed at Catalina with the summer just starting. An easy crossing on a soft southwesterly, the island greener than it would be by August.

We took a mooring at Avalon again, the harbour we keep coming back to, and stayed for the town and the water and the long light of an early-June evening. Some anchorages you visit once. This one has become ours.
