Solo to Catalina, Little Gibraltar

The first solo crossing from the home berth to Catalina, and the first time the boat and I had the San Pedro Channel entirely to ourselves. No crew to talk to, nothing to do but sail her and watch the island rise out of the haze.

I anchored at Little Gibraltar, tucked under the hills on the front side, and stayed a few days doing very little on purpose. Row ashore, read, watch the light change on the water. This is the reward the delivery was paying toward.
